We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Client’s team. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Controller.  Our Client is
one of Canada’s top Real Estate and Property Management Firms. Competitive benefits, flexible hours and recognition of the importance

this position is $90,000–$120,000 based on level of industry exposure. Our Client is an advocate for diversity and recognizes the value

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting requirements, including management and shareholder reporting
    packages
  • Manage, develop and oversee all functions of accounting team
  • Responsible for leading, training and mentoring accounting staff
  • Coordinate year-end audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors
  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated and legal entity financial statements including quarterly income tax provisions
  • Contribute in overall company performance analysis
  • Participate in matters related to shareholder investment and distribution entitlements
  • Consult and maintain relationships with the leaders of the organization
  • Responsible for the identification, implementation and review of internal control procedures to ensure compliance with
    regulatory requirements
  • Participate in cash management and forecasting functions
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge in financial statements, variance analysis, tenant
  • CAM/TAX reconciliations
  • Takes initiatives and is somewhat assertive (in a professional manner)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts as they apply to the Real Estate Industry
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Superior communication skills with a strong team orientation
  • Takes initiative and is confident in the decision making process
  • University or College graduate
  • CGA/CMA enrollment is an asset
  • Knowledge of Great Plains or JDE or MRI software is an asset
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
