We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Client’s team. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources. You will liaise with the company’s HR platform to incorporate best practices and company programs. Our Client is one of Canada’s top real estate firms. This is a mid to senior level position, and is a great opportunity for a Human Resources Manager or Senior Human Resources Generalist with strong people management skills looking for a strategic role partnering with the business lines. Salary range for this position is $60,000 –$95,000 plus discretionary bonus based on level of industry exposure.  Our Client is an advocate for diversity and recognizes the value of leadership.

  • Partner with Management and work closely with HR Director to operate an efficient, service-oriented HR team which services a client-facing business line in the company
  • Provide strategic, operational guidance on all people operations and policy function matters for HR related matters, processes, issues and questions for assigned client(s)
  • Responsible for developing a staffing plan, providing recruiting and talent support for the client(s)
  • Responsible for overseeing a team of human resource administration, their compensation and employee reviews as well as leadership and mentorship
  • Collaborate with the Director and Management Team to implement a strategy that attracts and retains talent, and is indicative of organization’s culture
  • Ensure Canadian employment legal compliance regulations and procedures are established, communicated and met
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends to optimize ROI, best practices and Canadian employment law to make recommendations to improve current programs and processes; Proactively problem solve with internal business leaders to determine needs and monitor changes in the industry
  • Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the business, build effective and productive working relationships throughout the business with a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service
  • Coach, lead and develop team of HR professionals on the company programs, and policies including employee relations, and performance/talent management to promote a culture of continuous growth and development
  • Re-energize the development plan for all levels of talent and lead employee engagement program using a measureable platform across the organization
  • Responsible for the delivery of superior internal customer service through the development of execution of leadership initiatives for internal business leaders
  • Lead, manage and develop HR team through performance management, recruitment, career development and onboarding of all new team members
  • Oversee and manage all internal hiring within the assigned department, inclusive of handling offers, onboarding and internal employee relations across
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience within Human Resources and at least 2-5 years in a people management capacity with direct reports
  • Post-secondary Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Human Resources or Finance, Advanced degree is preferred
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience in real estate, financial services or professional services
  • Professional HR Certifications preferred
  • Strong business acumen, experience in strategic planning and execution strategy and strong project management skills
  • Excellent leadership ability coupled with strong organizational focus
  • Ability to perform as a trusted advisor, with ability to lead and be an effective team player; Proven ability to build partnerships at all levels
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial human resources legislation regulations that govern Canada
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately (written and verbal), to all levels of employees and Senior Management, including C-level, while maintaining confidentiality and solid presentation skills
  • Self-directed, highly organized and ability to complete time-sensitive assignments with composure, perseverance and accuracy
  • Knowledge and experience of organizational culture development programs
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead multiple initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Must be discrete and maintain the highest confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Experienced with tact and diplomacy with sensitive and confidential documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Executives, business leaders and external stakeholders on a national basis
